Drug cartel violence in Mexico turning sour

One of the things that keep people worried about Mexico is the state of drug use and the drug trade here. The situation has gone so bad that some quarters claim that certain Mexican states are already on the verge of descending into "drug state" status, just like how Colombia was much of a narcotic nation last decade.

Mexico seeks UNESCO recognition of its cuisine

Nobody can deny the influence of Mexican cuisine unto the global culinary stage. Unfortunately, there'sa  big misconception concerning Mexican food. When we talk about Mexican cooking, the usual replies relate to items like nachos, chilis, and grease. While to an extent, this may be valid, Mexican cuisine is not about grease. It's actually about corn and organic ingredients.

Ancient Mexicans First Domesticated Turkeys

In a latest study published at the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, it was revealed that about 1,500 years before Christopher Columbus made his epic discovery of the New World, ancient settlers of the Americas already know how to farm animals, of which turkeys have been the first of the ancient settler's poultry.

Mountain Trip at Monterrey

Like in most other destinations near the equator, it is easy to assume that a trip to Mexico is a trip to the beach. While it's true that places like Cancun and Acapulco offer expats the chance to enjoy the beach in a place where there's a hotter temperature, that's only half of the story. Same goes for archaeological sites.
