approximately 15 years ago here in the U.S.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

KOBOLD Instruments Inc. manufactures flow, pressure, level and temperature instruments to measure and monitor liquids and gases. KOBOLD provides one of the broadest lines of sensors, switches and transmitters in the industry. KOBOLD combines the quality and reliability of a German design with the cost-effectiveness and quick delivery of a U.S. manufacturing facility.

KOBOLD was founded by Klaus Kobold in 1980. Emphasizing technology, quality manufacturing, and superior customer service, KOBOLD established independent companies in numerous countries worldwide to better serve the needs of its customers. The diversity of KOBOLD’s product line, its rapid adaptation of new technology, excellent customer service and in-house technical support allows KOBOLD to serve its customers with cost-effective, reliable solutions for all of your application needs.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Coordinating a Global presence and creating "communications" between the offices worldwide.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The flexibility.

What was your biggest mistake?

Planning at Headquarters.

Who maintains your website and why?

I currently maintain USA, Mexico and Canada Sites. All others are handled by Headquarters.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

Definately receiving more exposure than we could ever see in paper or print ads.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Ecommerce for our business is not so known in the industry for what we do however it is a personal goal to get it working for our company.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

It is very important.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

Search Engines have our website

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

email blasts and literature references

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

Everything seems to work well, however we haven't had that great of a return on banner ads

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

consistancy with our different sites, new features
