Travel Insurance - Way to Attract Tourists in Mexico City

Mexico City is had come up with a new idea to boosts the county's tourism despite the recent swine flu scare in the country, this is the complimentary health insurance. Tourists who stay in the city's hotel are eligible to this new program where they will be given free coverage for emergency medical care, prescription drugs, hospital stays, and and ambulance services.

This program was run under city’s tourism office through a private insurer, MAPFRE.
