A young American expat couple shares their life in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Topics include: cave diving, learning Spanish, and observations on Mexican culture and food.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I am blogging mainly to share with family and friends who are interested in my life. I am also sharing information on Mexico, why we moved here, what problems we face here, etc. to help others who are interested in moving abroad.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Blogger, because it was free. Eventually I would like to switch to WordPress because it is better.
What do you blog the most about?
Daily life in Mexico, language/lost in translation issues, fun trips and excursions, restaurant reviews, etc.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I don't read blogs that make me angry, so I can't think of any. I prefer to read blogs that make me laugh or make me feel like I know the person.

1. Blog early, blog often. 2. Comment on other people's blogs. 3. Be truthful, but not to the point of endangering yourself (don't tell people your address!). 4. Post pictures. 5. Don't be insulting, racist or inflammatory on your blog.

Commenting on other people's blogs because it forms friendships and community.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
Yes, I met another expat living in Mexico to hang out on the beach. Another person recognized me at dinner because we were talking about driving to Mexico and mentioned our dog's name.
