Guanajato and the Cervantes Festival

Guanajato, a city in the Mexican region of Bajio, must be one of the foremost Mexican destinations that you should visit. Declared as a UNESCO Heritage Site, the city enjoys massive religious and civic buildings whose architecture is worth noting. These buildings were mainly constructed during the mining boom of the colonial era between the 16th and 18th centuries.
